OYO White Horse Lodge Hotel, East Thirsk

Nice and clean, perfectly acceptable for the price.

Very disappointed to find restaurant closed. Had to keep plugs in sink and bath to stop smell from drains.

Quiet locstion

I didn’t stay you took...

I payed for the room and didn’t get the room and had to pay again so slept in the car

It was very clean, room was big.Breakfast was really nice and good value.

Shower not great, not enough pressure. No lights at either side of bed, only the big spotlights in the ceiling. Room was cold, we were told heating was on a timer but the lady brought us a heater. It looked like the room had been put together quickly, wardrobes were very nice but not necessary for a hotel room. Nice big tele but chairs were not in great condition. Bathroom tiles all needed wiped down, nice bathroom but poor finish.

Clean, nice room, friendly staff, cold beer

Hard bed

Friendly staff and lovely breakfasts central location for our trip

The room was cold at night could have done with the heating on

Easy to find. Rooms clean and comfy. We arrived a bit late but even so Lesley offered to cook us a lovely dinner. So unexpected and so nice. She went above and beyond to accommodate us. Highly recommended.

Poor Experience

Dirty Hallways, worn carpets, creaky bed, curtains didn’t block light, thin walls so could hear other guests, Wi-Fi didn’t work at all in the room.

Location and price.

Bed sagged towards the middle, my reading light didn't work. Room very cool despite radiator being turned on.

Second time here , looked after really well and again the Breakfast is a must and with Blackpudding.

I loved the environment and the rooms where clean

The heaters where off during the evenings

Boring, bleak and unsatisfactory

The TV didn't work, the heating didn't work properly, had to pay for early check in although the whole hotel was empty. The restaurant wasn't open. The bar didn't open till 5 and then had to wait ages for someone to serve you. No food places on just eat deliver. So couldn't get food unless you left the property.

god food, comfortable room, had booked an exec. room but could not use it as there is not a lift.so had a basic room, which was accessible to a disabled person.

the heating was not on, so the hotel was cold till 9.00pm approx., no heating in the morning,if you are 75 and 79 yrs. old you need the warmth morning and evening,

The hotel is a little basic but very clean with plenty of parking. Facilities in the rooms are good with tea, coffee & TV. Bed was comfortable with a good shower over the bath.

It’s 2 miles from town and taxis were problematic. It’s £8 before 11pm and £13 after that. But booking taxis in advance takes that worry out of a trip to town. Room 12 was great, paintwork could do with a freshen up but otherwise the room was good value and comfortable.

Less than average

Noisy because next to a B-Road and because it was still hot at night, in September 2023, we needed to try to sleep with the window open. The feel of the Hotel is a bit tired. The Receptionist was not from the UK and didn't convey much of a welcome.

This is not a hotel,...

Dirty carpets Paper thin walls Washing machine going all night

Quiet location just out of Thirsk. Very friendly staff who made you feel very welcome. We stayed at a quiet travel period , nice and relaxing and able to chat with staff. Room comfortable. Good meals.

Nothing, all fine.
